Roundtable Theatre in Education Company is the very first TIE Company in Eastern Central Europe
Our mission is to create performances which promote social and moral issues and raise questions , interesting for all ages, in an interactive way. During our performances young people are not just parts of the audience but they take an active and creative part in the theatrical event. Our aim is to encourage people to think and ask questions. During the performances we listen to each and every participant’s ideas and personal comments and these become part of the play as well.
Our company provides TIE programmes for different age groups from kidergarten children to young adults. We have been cooperating with great authorities of TIE for more than 25 years. Our work is based on different theatrical forms and pedagogical methods. Our headquarter is at the Marczibányi Cultural Centre but we are more than happy to take our performances to any parts of the country or to foreign countries as well. It is essential for us to provide access to everyone to high quality culture and theatre. We put special emphasis on scholarship, training and mentoring programmes and give opportunity to trainees to get an insight to our professional work.
